Voyage is a student-run travel magazine that I first learned about in freshman year. The magazine is different from other travel publications by focusing on personal narratives, often giving voice to issues and people who have not been represented in traditional magazines. As a freshman, I knew I wanted to get involved, but the members all seemed too cool and I wasn't sure if I was qualified. Fast-forward to senior year, I'm a copy editor for Voyage, even pitching the theme for our eighth issue. This experience sharpened me skills in editing and writing. Working directly with different contributors, I get to help a story go from a Google Form proposal, to a printed magazine article. I've also had the chance to write and reflect on my own experiences. Additionally, I got to work with an impressive team of editors, writers, photographers, designers, and managers. It's inspiring to be surrounded with so many talented people and I'm grateful to the opportunity to create something together.

Below is the piece I wrote for Issue 8: The Home Issue, where I reflect on just some of the places I've called home.
